Distribution Agreement Expands Reprints Desk's Electronic Sourcing Capabilities to the World's Three Highest 'Impact Factor' Medical Publishers

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Derycz Scientific, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DYSC), a company that is pioneering a fresh way of facilitating the flow of information from content publishers to enterprise customers and their constituents, today announced that its subsidiary Reprints Desk, Inc. has signed a direct agreement with the Massachusetts Medical Society for the electronic distribution of articles from the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).  This agreement adds to Reprints Desk's direct distribution agreements covering the top three medical journals in the world -- New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and The Lancet from Elsevier -- based on the impact factor.  Impact Factors, originally devised by Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) founder Eugene Garfield, are calculated each year for journals indexed in Thomson Reuter's Journal Citation Reports.

Reprints Desk is honored to be entrusted by NEJM to deliver their valuable content in this manner," said Jan Peterson, Derycz Scientific's Head of Publisher Relations.  "Reprints Desk is able to provide our global customer base with ultra-rapid document delivery service because of our focus on publisher relationships, which enable us to deliver the majority of our articles within minutes."

Derycz Scientific's Reprints Desk, established in 2006, ranked first overall and in every category in the 2008 Document Delivery Best Practices and Vendor Scorecard by analyst and advisory firm Outsell, Inc., and earned a 97% customer satisfaction rating in Dun & Bradstreet's 2009 Open Ratings survey of existing Reprints Desk customers.  Derycz Scientific's Reprints Desk is also a proud corporate sponsor of Room to Read, a non-profit that establishes libraries in developing nations in support of literacy and gender equality in education.
