Reprints Desk Launches New DRM Solution Based on Adobe Products for Secure Delivery of PDF Documents

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- Reprints Desk announced today that it is launching an inventive Digital Rights Management (DRM) tool using Adobe developer products for transmitting secure documents. Reprints Desk developed its DRM tool in order to deliver scientific journal articles in a copyright-compliant manner that protects publishers' intellectual property while remaining sensitive to the interests of Reprints Desk's corporate customers.

The Reprints Desk DRM solution works with the widely-used Adobe® Acrobat® reader (version 7 and above) and does not require users to download an additional application or plug-in to open and read articles purchased through Reprints Desk.

"We hope that both end-users and content providers will find our rights management utility to be both non-invasive and reasonable," said Peter Derycz, President and CEO of Reprints Desk. "Our customers look to us for innovation when it comes to providing them with access to scientific literature, and we think we have developed a solution that delivers content in a manner that respects intellectual property rights."
