Mattern's initial focus is on adding full-text content for improved search functionality within Reprints Desk's award-winning Article Galaxy research retrieval platform.

She also represented Karger on the Publishers' Rights & Licensing Group (PRLG), a forum for Publisher Permissions, Licensing, Intellectual Property, and Business Development Managers to discuss the challenges of the changing landscape of published content and formats.
