SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Reprints Desk, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Derycz Scientific, Inc. (OTCBulletinBoard: DYSC), has announced a collaboration with QUOSA Inc., to facilitate copyright-compliant article archiving and scientific literature re-use for Cubist Pharmaceuticals.
Lexington MA-based Cubist becomes the first company to integrate Reprints Desk's scientific, technical, and medical (STM) Document Delivery service with QUOSA's Virtual Library, which facilitates the archiving of copyright-compliant articles and the re-use of scientific literature. The integrated solution features integration with Rightsphere, the rights advisory and management tool from Copyright Clearance Center, the world's largest rights licensing organization.
"The integration of QUOSA's powerful solution for archiving and sharing scientific journal articles with Reprints Desk's ultra-rapid document delivery service was a logical collaboration for delivering the efficiency and compliance benefits we've been seeking to enhance our eLiterature services," said A. Amyas Huston, Senior Manager of Medical Communications at Cubist. "With QUOSA already deployed and Reprints Desk delivery not requiring any platform fees or any IT information technology involvement from Cubist, the implementation within our workflow processes was fast and seamless."
Reprints Desk, which has counted Cubist Pharmaceuticals as a customer since 2007, earned the top ranking overall and in every category in the 2008 Document Delivery Best Practices and Vendor Scorecard by analyst and advisory firm Outsell, Inc., and scored a 97% customer-satisfaction rating in Dun & Bradstreet's 2009 Open Ratings survey of existing Reprints Desk customers. QUOSA serves a large and rapidly growing subscriber-base at leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other life-science companies, with solutions for efficiently managing and monitoring scientific literature.
